Every heart holds a story. Sharing your story is more than an act of courage; it is a radical act of love.

Writing is a process.

It is the art of telling a story. Whether writing a ‘how-to’ article, a blog post, a magazine article or the eulogy for a funeral ceremony, I am committed to telling the story for my clients. As a professional writer, I am a careful listener dedicated to getting the story right. It is important to me to capture essential thoughts, words and ideas that most profoundly represent your story.

Through my writing coach services I can provide support for your own writing voice. I offer encouragement; straightforward feedback and thoughtful questions that will help you fine-tune your own story line. I can also provide supportive accountability as you seek to develop your writing project whatever it may be—essay, short story, book. I successfully manage project details and meet tight production or presentation deadlines while having the necessary expertise to organize information for diverse audiences: family and friends, professionals, educators, and children.

Working with a writing coach is a collaborative process guided by the client’s goals; the coaching relationship inspires writing, clarifies vision and focuses energy towards productive writing practices. Whether you are telling your story, reaching out to others from your experience, knowledge or expertise or seeking publication, a writing coach provides the structure and framework to support the completion your project.

Collaboratively we will attend to your goals with self-directed timelines and schedules, accountability and the focus to remain committed to your purpose. As your coach I will provide you with questions to enhance your writing efforts. I will offer thoughtful editorial inquiries that honor your voice and your story. I can also provide assistance with craft; grammar, structure, strategies for fine-tuning and self-editing your work. I serve you as a resource for clarifying your written word with respectful attention to the story you have to tell.

Working with Deb

“When you are grieving someone or something you’ve lost, there isn’t an answer or solution or just the right words to make you feel whole again. Working with Deb was a gift within my grieving. Deb’s gentleness and thoughtful listening was so compassionate.

There was healing kindness within her silence, between and among her words. She followed my lead, guiding me gently toward connection allowing me to celebrate my memories and live fully within the sadness of my loss. She helped me. My heart opened around her in a unique and unguarded manner.

It was with the utmost gratitude and highest respect that I recommend her to anyone who is working to grow within and ultimately beyond grief.”
